Tinatyping can produce a wide range of documents. Please contact me with details of the material you would like transcribed and I will give you an idea of the cost and how long it will take to complete the work.

Types of media transcribed from

• DSS files (Digital Speech Standard) These files are highly compressed and are much smaller than WAV files. For example, a 1MB DSS file would equate to about 16 minutes of dictation, whereas this same file size in WAV format would give only about 2 minutes of dictation. Because of this, DSS files are easier to send as emailed attachments.
  
  
• .WAV*, .MP3*, .DVF

*If you don't have a broadband (ASDL) internet connection, you will probably find that these files are too large for email attachment. However, you can transfer the file to a CD ROM or floppies and post these to me for transcription.

Types of software used

Transcription is completed using a variety of leading software packages including Microsoft Office.

How do I get my audio files to you?

I aim to keep my audio typing transcription service as simple and hassle-free as possible.

• Send your material and instructions by post or by email attachment.
• Your work is returned via post, email or CD Rom, along with an invoice for payment.
