Help
The following tips will help you produce good quality audio files and
keep the bill as low as possible:
- Use an external microphone - internal microphones have limited volume
and pick up noise from the recorder itself.
- Place the microphone close to the source of sound.
- Turn off voice-activation on your recorder. Voice-activation can cut
the beginning of your speech.
- Start recording well before you speak.
- Speak clearly, slowly and at an audible level.
- Spell out technical words - providing a glossary of difficult words
in advance will speed up the transcription time.
